Where We Build

Custom Homes Along the Hwy 51 / I-55 Corridor — Hernando, Byhalia, DeSoto & Tate County

We build where we work every week: Hernando and Byhalia, across DeSoto County and south into Tate County — any size custom home, managed by a local team that knows the lots, the permit offices and the drive.

Why the Hwy 51 / I-55 Corridor

Hwy 51 and I-55 run side by side through the heart of Northwest Mississippi, tying Hernando to Nesbit, Senatobia and Coldwater, with Byhalia and Olive Branch reachable to the east. Keeping our builds along this spine means shorter drives for trades, more frequent site visits from the team, and permitting with city and county offices we already deal with. For you, that means a project manager who can actually be on your lot — not an hour away.

DeSoto County

Hernando is home base. From there we build across DeSoto County — Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Nesbit and Walls — on in-town lots, subdivision parcels and acreage in unincorporated county land.

Byhalia & Eastern DeSoto

Byhalia and the eastern side of the county draw buyers who want room to spread out. We help compare land there — utilities, drainage, driveway access — so the house fits the site.

Tate County

South along I-55 and Hwy 51, Senatobia, Coldwater, Independence and Arkabutla offer quieter, larger parcels. Rural builds bring well, septic and site-prep questions we raise early.

We Don’t Build in Tennessee

We don’t market or build in Tennessee. Every project is in Mississippi, close enough for our team to stay hands-on from design-to-build through final walkthrough.

Service Area FAQs

Where does Project Management by Bill Bailey build custom homes?

Along the Hwy 51 / I-55 corridor in Northwest Mississippi — Hernando and Byhalia first, plus Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Nesbit and Walls in DeSoto County, and Senatobia, Coldwater and nearby Tate County communities. Any size custom home.

Why focus on the Hwy 51 / I-55 corridor?

It’s where we already work every week. Staying close keeps trades on schedule, site visits frequent and permit offices familiar — and it’s where many families want an easy commute north or south without giving up land and quiet.

Do you build in Memphis or Shelby County, TN?

No. We build in Hernando, Byhalia, DeSoto County, Tate County and the Hwy 51 / I-55 corridor. We don’t market or build in Tennessee.

What’s the difference between building in DeSoto County and Tate County?

DeSoto County towns tend to have more subdivisions, city utilities and municipal permitting; Tate County offers more acreage and rural parcels where wells, septic, drainage and driveway access matter more. We help you weigh both before you buy land or lock a plan.

Can I get a custom home built in Byhalia or Olive Branch?

Yes. See our Byhalia and Olive Branch town pages, or call 901-262-8223 to speak with a team member about your lot.

Do you help with land along the corridor?

Yes. Whether you already own a parcel or you’re comparing lots near Hernando, Byhalia, Nesbit, Walls or into Tate County, we pressure-test utilities, setbacks, drainage and access before you lock a plan.
